Although Electrical Engineering Study is one of more demanding at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, the interest in enrolment is great, since the students can easily find a job upon completion of the Study. The main goal of the Study is to educate prospective electrical engineers to independently do the jobs of designing, constructing, testing, servicing and maintaining the electric machines, facilities and processes.

In order to provide high quality, modern and attractive studying, curriculum is continually upgraded and modified by new and up-to-date subjects, while professional component of education in particular subjects is ensured by renowned experts in businesses and industry. Namely, the Electrical Engineering Department traditionally maintains strong links with relevant companies from industry that take part in educational process at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences searching actively for young talents and good quality employees.

The main goal of the Study is to teach students to independently do the jobs of designing, constructing, testing, servicing and maintaining the electric machines, facilities and processes.

Over the years, we have developed and equipped a number of labs which considerably contribute to the quality of practical classes so that students have the opportunity to prove their skills and talent.

Study programme is structured so that fundamental knowledge is acquired in the first academic year through attending the common basic modules, while in the second academic year the students opt for one of the following three courses:

  • Electrical power engineering
  • Automation and computer engineering
  • Communications and computer technology

Undergraduate Professional Study in Electrical Engineering takes three (III) academic years divided in six (VI) semesters. Upon obtaining180 ECTS credit points and finishing the studies a student receives a degree of Bachelor (baccalaureus/baccalaurea) of Engineering in Electrical Engineering.

Both full-time and part-time studies have entirely the same curriculum. The only difference is in the time-table, since part-time study is suited to the students who are employed.
