INTRODUCTION

After completing this Graduate Professional Study in Informatics of 2 years (4 semester), you will have earned 120 ECTS points and be awarded a title of Master of Engineering in Information Technology (M.Eng.IT.). The curriculum is fully adapted for employed students and completion of the program will provide students with special competences for a wide range of jobs that are in great demand. Many external associates participate in delivering courses for the purpose of teaching students about the latest approaches and skills necessary to pursue their profession. The high quality of this program has been recognized by the labor market, as demonstrated by a high level of our students’ employability.

LEARNING OUTCOMES AND ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

This Graduate Professional Study in Informatics is a program of four (4) semesters. On completion of this study program, the student will have earned 120 ECTS points and will be awarded the degree of a Master of Engineering in Information Technology (M.Eng.IT.)

SPECIALTIES AND ENROLLMENT QUOTAS

The first semester is common to all three modules, after which students attend certain required courses and elective ones, which are focused on the specialties of each of the three modules.
 
The Design & Multimedia Module is focused on providing competences in graphic and web design, as well as e-Learning. The module is designed to provide students with competences relevant to the design of web apps, graphic documents and securities through required and elective courses.
 
The e-Business Module if focused on providing competences of information system analysts in different professional settings. The module is designed to provide students with competences relevant to the development and management of information systems through required courses. The elective courses are to provide further competences of IT system analysts relevant to working with developers.
 
The Computing Systems Module includes two specialties: Networks & Network Systems and Computer & Embedded Systems Software Engineering.
The Networks & Network Systems specialty is focused on providing competences of computer system engineers in different professional settings. The program of this specialty is designed to provide students with competences relevant to the configuration of complex network and server systems through required and elective courses.
The Computer & Embedded Systems Software Engineering specialty is focused on providing competences of information system developers in different professional settings. The program of this specialty is designed to provide students with competences relevant to the development and programming of complex information systems in different settings and platforms through required and elective courses.

CAREER

As a Master of Engineering in Information Technology, you will have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and maintain complex information systems. By working on projects in the course of your studies, you will learn about many technologies, approaches and tools for solving practical problems and will as such be recognized as a valuable member of any team. In addition, the knowledge obtained will allow you to obtain further education and follow technological and professional trends.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Prerequisite: Completed undergraduate study program (180 ECTS).
 
130 part-time and 30 full-time students may be enrolled and the courses are based on predefined specific specialty modules, offering students different specializations on completion of this study program.
Candidates who are not formally employed and choose to study on a full-time basis (2 academic years) may be enrolled as full-time students, whereas those applying for a part-time study program may choose between a full-time or part-time (4 academic years) schedule of courses.
The enrollment procedure is based on the undergraduate program grades, the result of the enrollment examination in IT culture, and the grades in the selected specialty courses.
